How To Get Growth Hormone Treatment

How Do I Get Growth Hormone Treatment?

  • Legitimate growth hormone therapy requires a doctor’s prescription.
  • Authentic growth hormone therapy is only give via injection.
  • While any doctor can prescribe growth hormone, you should only get your growth hormone injections from a doctor who is skilled and experienced in hormone replacement therapies.
How Do I Get Growth Hormone Treatment?

Human growth hormone treatment can be life changing, however, you can only get human growth hormone with a doctor’s prescription.

If you are suffering from a growth hormone deficiency, growth hormone treatments can be lifesaving. However, you must be aware that there are many false claims and products available, particularly online that claim to be growth hormone, or offer the benefits of growth hormone.

The only way to get true growth hormone treatments, is with a doctor’s prescription. The only way to get a legitimate doctor’s prescription for growth hormone therapy is with an accurate diagnosis of growth hormone deficiency.

Growth hormone is produced by the pituitary gland. There are a number of reasons why someone may have a growth hormone deficiency (GHD) that would require growth hormone therapy. Any disease or condition that negatively impacts pituitary function can cause GHD. There is also a condition known as adult onset, or age-related GHD.

Age-related GHD is a result of the natural decline of growth hormone that occurs as we age. In some people this decline is barely noticed. But, in most men and women over 40, the natural decline of growth hormone has a debilitating effect. Age-related growth hormone deficiency that results in tiredness, fatigue, weight gain, weakness, and depression, is the main reason that drives adults to seek growth hormone treatment.

However, simply because you are over 35, and experiencing the signs and symptoms of low HGH, that does not mean you will automatically be given a prescription for growth hormone treatment. You still must be properly evaluated, and tested, to make sure you are a candidate for growth hormone therapy.

Most patients who are undergoing properly prescribed and monitored growth hormone therapy, experience little or no problems. Those that do report some discomfort, usually find that the side effect subsides, as their bodies adjust to the presence of the medication.

What Is Growth Hormone Treatment?

Growth hormone treatment is prescribed only for a legitimate medical need. Not just anybody who thinks that he or she wants to get growth hormone treatments, will necessarily be given a prescription for HGH injections.

Real growth hormone treatments are given via injections of synthetic growth hormone. Any product that claims to be growth hormone, or able to treat growth hormone deficiencies in adults, that can be purchased without a prescription, or is taken in any form other than an injection, is not a real growth hormone treatment.

The HGH in growth hormone treatment injections is made from actual human DNA. Before we had the ability to synthesize human hormones from recombinant DNA, the growth hormone used for prescription growth hormone treatments had to be extracted from the pituitary glands of cadavers. Now, we can literally manufacture HGH using recombinant human DNA. The HGH made this way is identical in every way to the growth hormone produced by your body.

What Is Growth Hormone Treatment?

But again, you can only obtain a prescription for growth hormone treatment from a doctor, and only then, after he or she runs very specific tests to yield a medical diagnosis of a growth hormone deficiency.

Real growth hormone treatments are only given via injections. Any product that can be purchased without a prescription, or is taken in any form other than an injection, is not a real growth hormone treatment.

What Tests Are Done Before Getting Growth Hormone Treatment?

If you are thinking about growth hormone treatments, it is likely that you are a man or woman, over the age of 40 that has been experiencing some, or all, of the symptoms of age related growth hormone deficiency. The signs of adult onset, or age-related growth GHD can include:

  • Weight gain, even when eating right and exercising
  • Muscle loss
  • Fatigue and weakness
  • Poor sleep
  • Sexual health issues
  • Foggy thinking or other cognitive issues
  • Reduced skin health

If you are experiencing any of the above, you should see your doctor and ask if you are a candidate for growth hormone treatment.

A prescription for growth hormone treatment is not given lightly. That does not mean it has to be hard to get growth hormone treatments. It just means that you must truly be in need of HGH replacement therapy. Your doctor will need to take a complete medical history and physical exam, which will then be followed with a specialized blood test to check for your HGH level.

What Tests Are Done Before Getting Growth Hormone Treatment?

Only a well-qualified physician who specializes in hormone replacement therapy, should prescribe your growth hormone treatment. This way you can be sure any growth hormone treatment you receive will be the safest and most effective for your particular needs and lifestyle.

Prescription growth hormone treatments come in different forms and under several brand names. Some of the most common prescriptions for growth hormone treatment are:

  • Genotropin
  • Omnitrope
  • Norditropin
  • Humatrope
  • Saizen

How the different brands of growth hormone treatment differ, mostly has to do with their dosages, how you prepare and take them, and their relative costs. All are injections, however some HGH prescriptions use traditional medical syringes and others use pre-dosed injectable pens. Your prescriber will decide which growth hormone treatment is best for you.

Can Any Doctor Prescribe Growth Hormone Treatment?

Any kind of doctor can write you a prescription for growth hormone treatments. However, it is highly recommended that you get your growth hormone treatment from a medical professional who is skilled and experienced in testing for, and treating growth hormone deficiencies.

Not only will such a physician be able to provide you with the most accurate testing of your growth hormone level, and provide you with the most effective growth hormone replacement treatments, he or she will also be able to evaluate your other hormones.

Can Any Doctor Prescribe Growth Hormone Treatment?

All hormones in your body interact and work together. If you are between the ages of 35 and 60, and are suffering from a growth hormone deficiency, there is a good chance that you may be deficient in other critical hormones such as testosterone. Many people who are given a prescription for growth hormone, are also prescribed testosterone therapy, and can benefit greatly from the combined therapies.

Why Can’t I Just Buy Growth Hormone Online?

You cannot buy any kind of authentic growth hormone treatments online. You can only obtain real human growth hormone with a doctor’s prescription, which then must be obtained from a licensed pharmacy, just like any other prescription medication.

Any product being sold online, that can be purchased without a prescription, that claims to be “HGH,” or to contain HGH, or growth hormone, cannot by law, contain any human growth hormone. These products may have ingredients such as proteins and amino acids that they claim can “stimulate your body to produce more HGH,” but most such claims are unsubstantiated. Furthermore, like all supplements, any “growth hormone supplement” is not tested or regulated by the FDA, which means they can make any claims they wish, and such claims are not verified by any independent review.

There is only one FDA approved growth hormone treatment for GHD, and that is a prescription for one of the growth hormone medications listed above.

Why Can’t I Just Buy Growth Hormone Online?

This having all been said, you may be able to work with a growth hormone clinic that can refer you to an online pharmacy that may fill your prescription for growth hormone treatments. However, understand that you will still have to go through the very same procedures of seeing a doctor, having your blood tested, and obtaining a prescription for growth hormone, but, you may just be able to save a little money on your growth hormone treatments by having your prescription filled on line.

It is very important that you understand this difference. While there may be the possibility of having your prescription for growth hormone filled online, you cannot, under any circumstances buy HGH online or anywhere else for that matter, without a doctor’s prescription. Also realize that actual growth hormone treatments are only prescribed as an injection.

If all of this is making it sound very difficult to obtain growth hormone treatment, it does not have to be. We are only saying that for your own health and safety, you should obtain your growth hormone treatments from a qualified and legitimate source. If you are really in need of a prescription for growth hormone treatment, our doctors and staff can actually make the process very easy for you!

Can I Afford Growth Hormone Treatment?

People always ask us, “How much do growth hormone treatments cost?”

This is not a question with a simple answer. Everybody’s needs for HGH is different. Everybody’s symptoms of growth hormone deficiency are different. There is no “one size fits all prescription for growth hormone.

Can I Afford Growth Hormone Treatment?

Growth hormone treatments by nature are very individualized. Even once you have been given a legitimate doctor’s prescription for one of the legal HGH injections such as Genotropin, Norditropin, Saizen, or Humatrope, you will find that the price to get the prescription filled can vary from pharmacy to pharmacy. Prescription HGH is prescribed in injection units, or IUs. The price per IU of the brand name HGH also varies. That all having been said, you should expect the cost to be anywhere from 18.00 to 25.00 an IU of HGH.

Most growth hormone prescriptions are for a daily dose of anywhere from 3 to 5 IUs. When considering the cost of filling your growth hormone prescription, you need to consider:

  • The dosage of your HGH prescription
  • The brand of prescription HGH
  • Where you have the prescription filled
  • What are the ingredients or “level of quality” of the particular brand of HGH?

The bottom line on cost is, we believe that no one should be “priced out” of a therapy that could be life changing. Our staff will work with you, to find the best possible growth hormone prescription to fit your medical needs and your budget.

Only a well-qualified physician who specializes in hormone replacement therapy, should prescribe your growth hormone treatment. This way you can be sure any growth hormone treatment you receive will be the safest and most effective for your particular needs and lifestyle.
